Planning law and Building Control
Town and Country Planning law provides controls on the freedom of property owners to use and develop their property in the interests of the wider community. Local Authority Building Control also regulates siting and design as well as standards of work and materials.
Advice is often needed whether or not Planning Permission is needed to erect or extend a building and often whether or not a neighbour has obtained this for development about to be carried out next door!
We can advise you with regard to these matters and also refer you specialist advise where the circumstances warrant this.
